What’s good with my fellow Sneakerheads? How is the collection looking? Any one snatch any “heat” or “grails” lately? There has been a lot of fresh kicks dropping as of late. I hope y’all are not out here sleeping on them.

It’s hard to find a dope shoe worth copping. Especially one that everyone else does not have. Trust me, I go out of my way to find rare shoes that others do not have the courage to wear. Regardless of the styles, colors or materials I will buy it, I like to be different and stand alone. To be honest, I think that’s how customs came about. There was someone, somewhere, who was sick of his kick game looking like everybody else’s kick game and he decided to do something about it. Now fast-forward to today and customs are a huge thing, along with the customizers who take ordinary kicks and make them extraordinary.

Having custom kicks pretty much guarantees you will be the only one seen in those kicks. That feeling alone is one of the best. To say “these are a 1- of – 1, you will not see anyone else with these” is one of the greatest feelings and moments for a Sneakerhead. Customs have been getting more and more creative. It started with just painting kicks to change the color schemes. Now you can change the color scheme, the materials and you can even swap the sole or dye it to your liking. The world of customs is vast and getting bigger because there are a limitless amount of things you can do to a shoe to make it your own.

There are a lot of customizers in the shoe-game looking to make a name for themselves. Among all of these customizers, there are only a few who are doing it on a major level and they’re recognized throughout the Sneakerhead world. These customizers are:

FBCC Customs –

Mache Customs –

JBF Customs –

They are the best at what they do. They have even customized shoes for celebrities. They all specialize in one thing but have a vast range of customs that they are capable of doing. There are a lot of other customizers out there, but they aren’t making it happen like the customizers previously mentioned. Now out of the three that were mentioned, FBCC stands alone. Why? Because he does something the other customizers do not do. He makes sole dyes, shoe glue, t-shirts and even socks under his FBCC brand and they are all very good products. Not only does he sell great products, he also offers a customizer class so that others can learn how to customize shoes. If you’re a true Sneakerhead, you have always dreamed of customizing your very own shoes. FBCC offers one to two classes every year. Those who catch it and are able to attend are the lucky ones. They are given the insight and skills necessary to go out and customize shoes. Do not get it twisted, after learning the necessary techniques it takes time to master them. But no other customizer is doing this to help out his fellow Sneakerheads. This is what sets FBCC apart from all other customizers.

I was lucky enough to snag a spot for his class and I must say, it was a great investment and a wonderful learning experience. I learned how to wrap foamposites, apply materials to shoes, all the tools needed and the best products to use when doing customs. If you ask me, it does not get any better than that. The class was held from 8:30 – 4 pm and I can honestly say that after that class I feel confident in making my own customs. It was a once in a lifetime type of thing, to where if you missed out you were kicking yourself all weekend.

I also got the opportunity to meet a lot of dope people who ranged from experienced customizers to beginners who were just looking to learn. People flew in from Texas, Tennessee and Los Angeles, while others drove from all around to be apart of a great learning experience. I’m so grateful to have had that experience and link up with some dope individuals.

FBCCs dyes and other products are available here:

I suggest all of my fellow Sneakerheads check him out and if you do customs you definitely need to grab some of his products.

Feel free to comment and share your thoughts and opinions….as always cop heavy, keep em fresh and the soles icy! Now if y’all do not mind, I have some foams to finish customizing. #Salute
