Gone Too Soon
.On November 28th the black community, the fashion world and the sneaker culture lost a heavy hitter in Virgil Abloh. A shock to everyone, even those who knew him best so it would seem Virgil kept his battle with cancer a secret up until the end.

I am saddened, angered and frustrated all at the same time. Saddened by the lost of a great individual, angered at the fact that some of our brightest stars have been extinguished before they're time and frustrated with the ripple affect it will create.

Virgil Abloh opened the door for black designers and creatives.... no, he actually kicked the door off the hinges. Virgil was the founder and CEO of Off-White, Artistic Director of menswear at Louis Vuitton and the Creative Director of Donda. Virgil challenged everything we thought we knew about design, always willing to push the envelope and take you on a journey with his designs. The first African-American to be artistic director at a French luxury fashion house, Abloh was named by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018.
