What’s up my fellow Sneakerheads? I’m glad that we all made it into the new year. I hope everyone got the kicks on their wish list for Christmas and no one scuffed, threw up on, stained or rip/tore any kicks bringing in the New Year.
So it’s 2015 now and we can expect a whole lot of shoes to drop. We’ve been promised quality in the “remastered’ collection of Jordans releasing, a variety of air max collections are coming out, along with KD, Lebron, Kobe, Kyrie, Addidas, Asics, New Balance, Saucony and the list goes on……oh, lets not forget about the new colorways on Foamposites.
I hope you are all ready for the onslaught of kicks releasing and the high price tags attached to them. Jordans will be remastered and higher quality materials will be used to construct like back in the day. Too bad the price won’t be like back in the day. There will also be Js releasing to pay homage to Jordan Brand’s 30th anniversary. I’ve also come across rumblings of the Air Force One being remastered as well. The Air Max has been releasing ridiculous kicks… Saucony, New Balance & Asics are hitting hard with fresh colorways and great materials. Plus Nike.com has announced that online releases will now happen at 10am EST or 7am PST depending on where you’re located.
All these fresh kicks releasing, what is a SneakerHead to do??? COP HEAVY!!! That seems to be the only logical explanation right? In the midst of your copping be smart and strategic. While all shoes dropping are nice, not every kick should be purchased. Might sound strange coming from a SneakerHead, but my real ones know. It’s not about snatching up all the kicks its about snatching up the right ones.
Rare releases, themed releases, new colorways and kicks with unique materials should be at the top of the list. Now with all that being said, cop what you like. Don’t feed into the hype or be moved by fads, they never last long anyway.
I myself am looking forward to a plethora of releases and I’m already salivating….. Lets continue to rep this SneakerHead lifestyle the way it’s supposed to be done.
